Ages vary and gender mixed, the group understands the need for confidentiality and respects anonymity within the context of discussion.
Why?
Counselling Therapy can be a lonely, isolating existance, and sometimes we may forget how other therapists work, rest and play.
As professionals we are all accountable for our practice, so it makes sense we engage the human within us and maintain a social network within our field.
Career Counselling
Who uses the Career Counselling?
Anyone interested in their or others career.
Small Medium Enterprises are increasingly stretched to compete with the global giants of business, which can place extra strain on it's workforce, who in turn need to feel supported and valued.
Where as many major organisations employ an external Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to assist HR in managing the wellbeing of the workforce.
So in simple terms both conscientious employers and career minded professionals.

Reading Group
Exchanging ideas
It may sound like work, but actually the reading group is a lot of fun.
Within the psychotherapy field there is a wealth of literature and research, the group explores a variety of books, papers, published and unpublished works, exchanging ideas and discussing philsophy and ideaology of writers and thinkers within the psychology world.
The groups are aimed at:

and anyone interested in exploring the worlds of others

Counsellors Partners Group
When people decide to train, or re-train, into the world of Counseling therapies, there are required to undertake personal therapy, which can be life changing and emotionally turbulent period, often experienced by friends, relatives and partners as a fundamental change in the person they are in relation to.
This is often difficult for the partners etc. and so we felt there may be a need for the suppport group for people who have to experience this rubicon process in their nearest and dearest.
